“Social and Emotional Learning at Home” cards offer a variety of techniques and activities to build and support those personal skills and qualities that lead to goal setting, planning, perseverance, and teamwork.
This deck provides quick and easy ways to help you grow skills and explore new practices. Designed to make math learning fun and manageable, each idea, or “Spark,” introduces you to a readily implemented strategy that engages children, increases learning, and improves your quality of life!
There are many ways to use these Sparks. One idea is to follow a simple three-step process:
- Pick a Spark card and try it out.
- After trying it, reflect on how it went, either on your own or with other parents and caregivers. What worked? What was the impact? What could be improved for next time? Use the Spark Reflection Journal Page on our website to record and guide your thoughts and learning.
- Now select another Spark and repeat the process!
